Freight Movement on 1920s L&N Railroad

Have you ever wondered how freight moved by rail to market in the early 20th century? This program will track the movement of a milk can from central Kentucky to its market in Cincinnati, OH, on the Louisville & Nashville railroad. Join noted author and speaker Charles Bogart for a glimpse into railroads' historic role in the food supply chain.

Don’t miss this free on-line program. Tell your friends to register as well.

The program is available via your web browser or via telephone.

  • Web Browser: Once you register, a link is provided for you to click to join the meeting at the appointed time. There is a chat room available for discussion during the program and to submit questions.  A microphone and web camera on your computer or tablet are not necessary for participation, thought they may be helpful if you want to interact directly during the question and answer session.  Please mute your microphone after connecting to minimize background noise.
  • Telephone:  Once you register there are numbers provided for you to call in to at the appointed time.  If you do not have free or unlimited phone service there may be a charge.  Please mute your phone after connecting to minimize background noise.

Once you register instructions will be emailed to you on how to get on-line and participate.

This will be a monitored, managed on-line session.
